A short story written in 2020.
Grey Curtain looks at the ideas of loss of a life partner and the resulting loneliness. Although I wrote it during the current pandemic, and very much from the place of isolation, my intention was to address a broader condition of being left behind through breakdown of a relationship or death, a condition made even more agonising in the current times.
